Join social designer and facilitator, Tristan Holme, for a webinar on how communities can understand their values to make better group decisions.

About the event

While it is generally understood that a clearly-defined set of values are at the heart of every successful community, it is less well-known how we might achieve that clarity and then use those values towards better decision making.

The Understanding Values to Make Better Group Decisions webinar will introduce Values Based Decision Making, a practical tool that Tristan has been adapting for use in intentional communities and other cooperative groups, providing a snapshot of how this design system might benefit yourself, your family or your community.

In this webinar, you’ll learn about:

  • Why values are more important than goals, and how they hold the key to regenerative social design
  • Turning your vision into a structured set of values, through which you can make better decisions
  • A process for identifying the aspect of your community that the group should prioritize
  • A holistic decision making process that can manifest the future you want, with fewer unintended consequences
  • How putting this system in place can reduce the amount of time needed for community meetings
  • Why doing this work up front gives a startup community a far better chance of succeeding
  • How you can better filter ideas and opportunities, and move away from the common community experience of having too many things going on and not enough time
