Learn about three kinds of community conflict and their different approaches through field-tested solutions with author and researcher, Diana Leafe Christian in this two-hour webinar.

Conflict in community often looks like a personal issue between people, so it’s usually treated as a simple interpersonal problem. However, conflict can stem from more complex community dynamics and these problems often call for different strategies to address them.

Through her extensive work with intentional communities, author and researcher Diana Leafe Christian identifies three kinds of community conflict as: Interpersonal, Structural, and “Especially Challenging Behaviors.”

You’ll learn how to identify and approach each kind of conflict, as well as a couple workable solutions that successful communities have used to resolve or manage them.

This webinar is for people who have felt confused, baffled, or even hopeless about ongoing conflict in their community. Diana offers accessible, grounded, and field-tested solutions that you can use too!

Join Diana through an interactive presentation including breakout groups and Q&A where participants can discuss the kinds of conflict they’ve seen in their own communities, while practicing some of the new techniques you’ll learn.

In this session, you’ll learn:

  • How to identify the three kinds of community conflict Diana has observed in her community and in her work as a community consultant
  • Specific examples of the techniques successful communities have used to address each kind of conflict
  • How you can start applying one or two of these field-tested approaches to various kinds of conflict in your own community

For a deeper dive into three kinds of community conflict, join Diana in her 7-week course, Working Effectively with Three Kinds of Community Conflict — What You Can Do, starting January 17, 2026!
