Join facilitator Teri Lynn Grunthaner for a virtual workshop to learn how to use Nonviolent Communication so we can shift from habitual competition into intentional cooperation.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a popular communication framework that is mainly known for its emphasis on feelings and needs language and a simple formula for communicating clearly. It’s a powerful model that helps us hold our judgments lightly, get curious about and honor your needs and mine, and stay committed to both personal responsibility and collective care. But it also has provoked some red flags and hesitation. Like most tools, it can be misused and unintentionally, or intentionally, cause harm. Together we will unpack how to use NVC more effectively.
Teri is a Conscious Relating Coach and Expressive Therapist who has been living in and exploring the potential of intentional community as a vehicle for personal and social transformation for over a decade. She believes that intentional communities, cooperatives, collectives, and circles rooted in anti-oppression values and liberation frameworks are creating the more just, sustainable, and loving world we long for.
Through Nonviolent Communication, Inner Relationship Focusing, and Expressive Therapies, Teri passionately helps folks create authentic, cooperative, and healing relationships with themselves and their community. Learn more about her practice and join the support network of community seekers, lovers, and creators doing inner relationship work at www.radical-hearts.com.
