This event is a part of the Liberation Learning Series which runs bi-weekly on Tuesdays from June 10 to September 30, 2025.
Learn the what, why and how of income-sharing in intentional communities, followed by a panel-discussion with guests who have lived experience in income-sharing communities.
Intentional community is all about sharing. While all intentional communities utilize some degree of expense-sharing, a handful of them use a radical economic model through “income-sharing”. Income-sharing brings with it a number of practical and ideological benefits, as well as unique challenges, as it forges a new path towards reimagining our relationship with collective resources.
During this webinar, Sky Blue will provide an in-depth look at the what, why, and how of income-sharing. Following the presentation, you will hear from a panel of guests who have lived in income-sharing communities including Reggie from Acorn Community Farm, Summer Tupelo from Twin Oaks Community, Michael Johnson from Ganas Community and Shawn Young from Jolly Ranchers Community.
Come get inspired by reimagining our resources with an economic model that provides a direct vehicle for greater belonging and justice, not just within the communities that practice it, but for the world at large.
Sky Blue (they/them) has been active in the Intentional Communities Movement for over 25 years, as a communitarian, movement builder, and consultant. They’ve lived in seven different ICs, including 14 years at Twin Oaks Community. They’ve worked with numerous organizations, including four years each as the Executive Director and on the Board of the FIC. They believe they have a responsibility as a global citizen to help make the world a better place, and they’ve dedicated their life to Intentional Community as the vehicle for that.
You’ll get the Zoom link after you register in your confirmation email. Please check the spam folder of the inbox you use to register for an email from orders@ic.org.
