In this introductory session, Cynthia Tina—the community matchmaker—will share insights from visiting and working with hundreds of communities across six continents. With her guidance, you’ll gain a clear overview of the intentional communities movement and discover what’s possible when people choose to live together with purpose.

⭐ The main types of intentional communities, from cohousing to ecovillages to co-ops
⭐ Where to find reliable online resources and directories
⭐ Inspiring examples of communities—both well-known and hidden gems—from around the world
⭐ How to identify what kind of community might be the right fit for you
⭐ First steps for connecting, visiting, or even starting a community of your own
You’ll also hear about Ecovillage Tours, immersive travel programs designed to help you experience community life firsthand.
Whether you’re simply curious, searching for a place to belong, or even dreaming of starting your own project, this session will inspire you with real-world pathways into the worldwide movement of intentional communities.
Cynthia helps people discover intentional community living for better housing, health, and happiness. She has traveled to 200+ intentional communities around the world and resides in a Vermont ecovillage in her self-built natural home. Her speaking, businesses, and consultancy have contributed to the growth of numerous community-led housing projects.
Cynthia is the founder of CommunityFinders, offering programs to help people find community. She’s also the founder of Ecovillage Tours, offering guided trips to communities worldwide.
