The Mariposa Group is founded on a tremendous vision of what might be possible for human beings living together in love. They are not a typical community and have a fundamental requirement of committing to “Love & Truth”. For those with a “Love & Truth” commitment firmly in place, it has a Joyful sense of ‘Coming Home’! The Mariposa Group is located in Bivins, TX.
Located in Pitman, PA, the Hermitage is a Harmonist spiritual community that started in 1988. Their goal is to live in harmony with earth and spirit. Being a Harmonist is an expected part of community life. They are a spiritual center, an architectural heritage site and a local history museum. Much of the Hermitage’s land is farmed and they have a variety of domesticated bird that roam freely.
The Valley of Light (VOL) is a sustainable, spiritual community located in Independence, VA. Their 23-acre campus is situated in the Appalachian Mountains and borders the ancient New River. VOL was founded by members of The Oracle Institute, a 501 (c)(3) educational charity and socio-spiritual think tank. “This is my first exposure to intentional living situations. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the possibilities and the underlying thinking that informs this kind of living choice. The presenters were excellent. It was great to see the different settings and to hear the various questions related to these three living situations. Thank you so much for this presentation.”
-Leslie Slate
