Verde Vivas

We are a small family in the early stages of planting the seeds of Verde Vivas, a Kin’s Domain-inspired homestead and intentional community rooted in nature connection, non-toxic living, and child-led learning. A Kin’s Domain is a concept from the Anastasia; The Ringing Cedars of Russia books-describing a family homestead on one hectare (about 2.5 acres) of land, designed to support a simple, self-sufficient life in deep connection with nature. It’s a space to grow food, raise children close to the Earth, and create a lasting family legacy on living land. We’re currently relocating to Paraguay, drawn by its fertile land, clean rivers, educational and medical freedom, and slower, simpler pace of life. Our vision includes a private homestead of 1 to 2 hectares for our family, as well as a larger shared area of 10 hectares or more where other like-minded families can join with their own hectare and help grow a vibrant, child-centered community. At Verde Vivas, we envision a place where children are truly free to be children-able to run barefoot, play for hours in nature, and learn through curiosity and real-life experience instead of rigid systems. Education here would be natural and self-directed, shaped by unschooling, worldschooling, and the child’s own unique rhythm and passions. We picture families growing food, building with natural materials, and living simply and intentionally-each stewarding their own space, but coming together to share a community zone that may include things like a natural swimming pool (bio pool), forest school-style learning and play spaces, ropes courses and climbing structures, a multicultural center for classes, music, storytelling, and workshops, and a shared kitchen or retreat space for hosting events, travelers, or co-creating projects together. Our family leans toward raw vegan and non-toxic living, but each family is free to choose how they live and eat on their own domain. What connects us is a shared love for children, nature, and personal freedom. We would especially love to find other families with young children, ideally close in age to our daughter (currently 4.5), so the children can grow up playing, exploring, and learning together. We’re looking to connect with families and individuals who might want to search for land together, co-invest, or join later once the land is secured. We’d also love to hear from those with experience or passion for natural building, permaculture, herbalism, holistic education, traditional crafts, parenting, or simply living a more grounded and soulful life.
