About the Community

What we do

We are currently a group of 4 friends and co-investors who found each other through our individual searches for community and are located in Eureka Springs, AR. We are now in the planning and recruiting phase of this project, but have been meeting, planning and writing policies and legislation over the course of the past 2+ years and have created enough of a shared vision and mission to be able to invite more founding members who align with our values and ideally bring complimentary skill sets. We envision becoming members of the Federation of Egalitarian Communities, and as such, we put great value in cooperation, nonviolence, and resource sharing. We currently support ourselves individually, but plan to build several communal businesses that will eventually support the community and vice versa. Our membership is diverse, we have no central leadership and currently practice democracy while we learn more about and work toward Sociocracy and/or Sociocracy 3.0. We are looking for other co-founders who can help us bring this vision to a piece of rural land in or near Northwest Arkansas. We dream of multiple separate homestead plots as well as some dormitory style housing surrounding a large communal center where we share meals, agriculture, resources, tools, amenities and our communal businesses. Access to land and business ownership will be made equally accessible through different lease agreements – ownership, renter ship and scholarship. We encourage individuality and diversity in our members. We are looking for skilled, hardworking, responsible, self-motivated, and balanced individuals that share our values. Prospective members are encouraged, we are in line to purchase land this year – 2025!

Our Mission

We aim to create an aesthetically pleasing, health-promoting and environmentally conscious community with built in cultural expectations integrating self-care, therapeutic practices, life-cycle support, sustainable land stewardship and educational outreach. We believe that through love and respect, we can resolve all issues.

How to join

The first step is writing or emailing a letter of interest telling us about yourself, including all of the following: Your name   Your age   Your gender and pronouns   How you heard about our group   Why you are interested in community life   A summary of your history now and for the past 5 years, including whatever you think is important about your work, hobbies and/or studies   If you have any legal history we should know about, including felony convictions.   Anything interesting about you   Any special skills you have or work you like or dislike, e.g. indoor work vs outdoor work   Any physical ailments or limitations (e.g. back problems) which would prevent you from doing certain kinds of work   If you have any children, their ages   What you think you could contribute to the community project. We look for time, talent, treasure and tuning.   After we receive the letter, we will decide if you feel like a potential good fit for our community. If so, you will be invited to join our meetings.
