Meet a diversity of communities during the Virtual Tour of Communities. From secular to spiritual, urban and rural, forming and established — get a vibrant taste of the communities movement without leaving your armchair!
What you get from the Virtual Tour experience:
Heart-Culture Farm Community is a 33-acre intentional community Permaculture farm sandwiched between Eugene, Oregon and a 17,000-acre wetlands wildlife preserve. Our location is excellent and our people are wonderful. The physical infrastructure is unique and funky, with 130-year-old barn and main house.
Our social infrastructure is set up to support preschool-aged children, with experienced moms, grandmas, and other alloparents on site. We hold a clean and sober culture for ourselves and for our kids. We also have an active WWOOFing program, teaching hands-on farming skills to a rotating cast of visitors.
Cynthia Tina is the author of Intentional Community: Choosing Community Living for Better Housing, Health, and Happiness. She helps people discover intentional community living and navigate the path toward finding a community to call home.
Cynthia has visited more than 200 intentional communities around the world and lives in a Vermont ecovillage in a natural home she built herself. Through her speaking, businesses, and consulting, she has helped many people explore, join, and create community-led housing projects.
She is the founder of Community Finders, which helps people find and join intentional communities, and Ecovillage Tours, which leads immersive trips to visit communities around the world. More than twenty Ecovillage Tours have been hosted to date, giving participants a rare opportunity to experience a wide diversity of communities firsthand.
