Don't Miss The National Cohousing Conference May 19-21 in Nashville!

Each year, the Cohousing Association of the United States hosts a national conference for those participating in or interested in the cohousing movement. This year’s conference will take place May 19-21 in Nashville, TN:

“The 2017 National Cohousing Conference promises an amazing lineup of offerings, from innovative approaches to developing new and affordable communities, to potent ways to enhance our vibrant communities. We will cover cohousing basics as well as hot topics in sustainability and resiliency in both living green through energy efficiency, shared resources, and greener building, to how community sustains us for measurably healthier lifestyles.”

The event is expected to attract over 500 participants, including people who already live in cohousing and those who are curious about it, as well as architects and urban planners working to design cohousing communities.

Registration is open now, and costs $340 if you register by March 1st. The conference also offers low income and student registration for $230, as well as discounts if multiple members of a community attend together.

Three meals are included with registration, including vegan and vegetarian options. You can also sign up for a tour of nearby Germantown Commons cohousing for an extra $20.

The schedule will include workshops, presentations, and facilitated discussions. Topics range from Cohousing Basics to Green Community Systems. Some presentations include:
